NORTH STAR

A famous rodeo champion (Malcom Gets) suffers from a debilitating illness that has robbed him and his husband (Colman Domingo) from a life worthy of their characters and of the work they have loved--that of ranching. The medical expenses have slowly depleted their savings and the last of their livestock will soon be transferred to a new home. Foreclosure of their estate looms and while family members long to help, they do so with strings attached.

The couple's decision to hang-on to what they deem important allows them to face their unknown future with an unconditional love that strengthens their dignity. (KP)
