Film Review: August & Ebony

August (Ayesha Harris) and Ebony (Rejena J. Taylor) are a married couple. Ebony had a one night stand with her 20-year best friend, Justin (John Clarence Stewart) prior to her marriage to August and gets pregnant.
Filmmaker Sunyin Zhang directs a comedic narrative of how the three cope with being in relationship with one another, caring for the mother, caring for baby-to-be, parental rights, jealousy; and, moving forward as they try to define the word “family,” and what it means for each member of the threesome.
AUGUST & EBONY is delightfully entertaining and garners much food for thought on how one copes with reality in our changing world.
