Lubi Barre

Originally from Somalia, Lubi Barre was born in Paris and raised in California. She is a writer of creative non-fiction short stories, poetry, and essays. The latest publication of her story "Goodbye" is in the anthology book "My Old Man" published by Cannongate. She co-organizes and moderates the quarterly international reading series Hafenlesung as well as the monthly reading series Ahab. She is a member of the residency the Writers Room and lives in Hamburg, Germany. (Photo by Tina Mavric)
