Laura (Zoe Heran) and her family have just moved into a new neighborhood and school is just around the corner. From the opening of the movie it is clear that Laura is more of a tomboy than her little sister. Her room is done in blue tones, and she isn’t interested in wearing a dress. She sees the boys playing soccer and naturally wants to play with them. So she decides to pass herself off as a boy. Everything seems to be going well until the girl in her building falls in love with her and all the kids want to go swimming. At this point she has to make a decision. She is uncertain what to do? Dress like a girl or wear a swimsuit suitable for a boy?

This is a wonderful story that explores the life of a tomboy starting when she is young. It is not clear if the community or her family will accept the way she is or will she have to change to fit in to the social norms. (Shelly Schoeneshoefer)
