Die Schadenfreundinnen (The Other Woman)
U.S.A. 2014

Opening 1 May 2014

Directed by: Nick Cassavetes
Writing credits: Melissa K. Stack
Principal actors: Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kate Upton, Don Johnson

Carly Whitten (Cameron Diaz) is a hard-as-nails lawyer who finds the ´one´, that perfect guy, the one with flowers, wine, surprise gifts, and romantic walks in the park. Everything is perfect until she meets his wife, Kate (Leslie Mann). When this unlikely pair becomes friends, they soon discover they are not the only women that Mark (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) has been deceiving. The other mistress Amber (Kate Upton) quickly falls in with the other two, and this threesome team up to ensure Mark pays for his philandering ways.

The ensuing comedic sketches can take things a little over the top, nevertheless I did laugh out loud on at least two occasions. If you like Cameron Diaz’s previous comedy performances you will also enjoy her delivery in this flick. Plus, we all enjoy watching a womanizer get what he is due. (Christine Riney)
