Just before the school holidays are about to begin, an incident occurs between two six-year-old boys Armand and Jon. Although it is unclear what exactly happened, the tension rises and accusations fly. The school director and the young teacher attempt to control the situation despite all eyes are on Armand, whose alternative mother is believed to be unfit and already has a previous history in the community.
This cleverly written Norwegian thriller-drama is the debut film of director Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel. The factor of the unknown plays a heavy part along with anticipation and assumptions. It shows the weakness of the characters as they build their cases and select their allies. By the end of this film, I was becoming an emotional wreck and wondering if I needed therapy. A very intense film for those who don’t have their emotions in control. (Shelly Schoeneshoefer)
