Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) receives a beckoning letter from his beloved Aunt Lucy (voiced by Imelda Staunton) who lives in Peru. Since Paddington has just received his British passport, it is a perfect opportunity to go for a visit. So before you know it, the entire Brown family is on plane, heading to the exotic land of Peru to visit Aunt Lucy. She currently resides in the Home of Retired Bears but once they arrive, they are informed by the Reverend Mother (Olivia Colman) that she has gone missing. Their adventures soon take off, plunging them deep into the Amazonas where they desperately try to unravel the mysteries that challenge them at every turn. The Browns, consisting of Judy (Madeleine Harris), Mary (Emily Mortimer), Henry (Hugh Bonneville), and Johnathan (Samuel Josin), surround Paddington as he takes a strong lead. Paddington’s innocence seems to protect him against all unknown enemies such as the likes of Hunter Cabot, who is preoccupied by searching for gold of El Dorado.

Paddington in Peru is a fun film that offers a glimpse of wonders of Peru and provides entertainment for the entire family. I would love to see this film played in German in Peru especially after learning how many Peruvians are learning German and not English. (Shelly Schoeneshoefer)
