Laguna Beach is an idyllic seaside town in southern California where beautiful people live with expensive cars and exotic tastes, including a craving for a luxurious blend of marijuana with a special hit of THC. Peacenik Ben (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who funds children’s charities, and ex-Navy Seal tough guy Chon (Taylor Kitsch) perfected the gourmet blends from stock smuggled during their Afghanistan days. Their devoted clientele is coveted by the Mexican Baja Cartel.

The boys don’t want to partner with the savage Cartel, run by Elena (Salma Hayek) after the murder of her husband. Elena learns they both love Ophelia or O (Blake Lively), whom they share in bed and banter, so Elena has O kidnapped to force the boys to deal. Ben and Chon realize such business will end in their demise, so they persuade a bent DEA agent (John Travolta) to help them rescue O and get out of drug dealing. Heads roll! Close ups and cuts leave most of the raw violence to your imagination. Blake is lovely. Ben loses his virginity. Chon walks on the wild side. Not a bad trip! Directed by Oliver Stone.
