What is BFI? For those of you wondering...
The British Film Institute (BFI) was founded in 1933. They are a charity governed by a Royal Charter. Their role is to combine cultural, creative and industrial endeavors, bringing together the BFI National Film Archive and BFI Reuben Library (where you can access a huge collection of books, journals and digitized material about the world of film, television and the moving image), film distribution, exhibition and education, publishing and festivals.
They award Lottery funding to film production, distribution, education, audience development and market intelligence and research.
