Ericka Bahner Seifried is an experienced arts consultant and freelance journalist living in Hamburg. She holds an MA in Arts and Media Management from the Utrecht School of the Arts (NL), where she focused on multiculturalism and inclusion in the arts. Since 1992, Ericka has been a contributor to various print media outlets including submissions of poetry, interviews, travel and special interest pieces for Artisster.com, Odyssey Coleur, Catalyst, and Currents, a magazine of the American Women's Club of Hamburg, eV and most recently, a host of film reviews for Hamburg Guide and Kino Critics.
In 2016, she took over the editorial function of the Hamburg Guide "Cinema News" film pages, which has since doubled in size. Previously, she was a senior program manager for the Fulton County Arts Council in Atlanta, a professional development intern at the National Endowment for the Arts (Locals Program) in Washington, DC, and a lecturer at Stuttgart University and the German-American Center in Stuttgart (DE). Now settled in Hamburg, Ericka is active in the arts community and spends her free time discovering Hamburg by bike, reconstructing Lego creations with her son and searching for the ultimate TexMex food truck.
