She has been a lover of films from the age of five watching Roy Rogers and Dale Evans on the silver screen ride off into the sunset at the Hollywood Theater in Salem, Oregon. In those days the good guys always wore white hats, and every film was a winner.
Pat has enjoyed going to the movies ever since. She still finds magic in sitting in a dark movie theater, enveloped in an alternative reality. After retiring from forty years of teaching elementary school children, she is now able to regularly go to press screenings in movie theaters in Hamburg as a member of the English-speaking Film Group. As an accredited journalist she attends the annual Filmfest Hamburg, the third largest film festival in Germany. Pat strives to write reviews with a discerning eye, a spunky wit, and, above all, a genuine love for the art of cinema.
